Not so much "Handbags and Gladrags" as "Satchels and Duffle Coats".
Movie 63 of 2014 - Sometimes you have to listen to the critics and save yourself nearly 2 hours of your life span - this film is a load of pap, and each member of the cast when they were sent the script should have chucked it straight in the bin, and when they didn’t do that they should have sacked their agents for sending them to the casting call. Ants and Space that’s all there is to say.

Movie 62 of 2014 - Don’t hate me for this but I love these movies. Yes they are corny, and yes the plot wears thin, but the action scenes and the cast are just so enjoyable. My favourite remains John Malkovich from the 1st movie, he didn’t let me down in this sequel. I for one hope that a Red 3 is planned. The only negative for me was Catherine Zeta’s character, but it did provide some comedic lines for the women in this film. Curtis thoroughly enjoys these movies too, and the 12 classification is spot on, he’s 10 and is not corrupted by colourful language. Jo as usual fell asleep at the end, god only knows how because the final scenes in Moscow are action-packed, loud and crazy…..

Movie 60 of 2014 - I was a little sceptical before watching this movie that it would actually be any good, but have to say I really enjoyed it. The plot line that it was centred around a drug testing that gave the apes their remarkable intelligence worked for me, especially as it was set alongside finding a cure for Alzheimers. Curtis really enjoyed the CGI and the action scenes, and I thought the roles were well executed by all of the cast involved, particularly John Lithgow. Yes there were gaping plot holes but there always is with sci-fi movies, it’s what makes them work - it’s fantasy! Tom Felton couldn’t get away from a douche-bag role, as Curtis said “typical Malfoy!”

Why do police have quotas? If a doctor went around intentionally sneezing on people to get more patients, that would be seen as a travesty to their profession. But police, can sit around and wait for someone to turn on a red light or commit other mundane ‘offenses’ because they have quotas to meet. Quotas are all the proof we need that policing is not a public service vocation; it’s a business and a subsidiary of Wall Street. By
