Quitting smoking
Day 2: All went well this morning. Pangs of wanting a cigarette on getting up were there but I gnored them gritted my teeth and got through the morning with flying colours. However, things broke apart by late afternoon. I went to go and collect Curtis from La Dorat and the car decided to break down. A couple of stressy hours later I was diving into a pack of fags. Day one - Last cigarette from packet this morning. Packet in bin so it can’t taunt me! Everything went well up to lunchtime and then the withdrawal pangs set in. Really really wanted a cigarette, but I didn’t cave - went and did the ironing instead. Afternoon much better, then Jo returned home from work and had a cheeky roll-up - 2 to be precise. All a bit late but a quick recap...
So, we arrived in France on 11/07/09 and took the glorious summer settling into our new home. Manic time was spent unpacking the contents of a 3 bed-detatched UK house into a two-bedroomed French apartment - a fantastic way to de-clutter! If it wasn’t needed then back into a box it went ready to be stored on the mezzanine in the barn. Jo decided and very quickly I might add built a 3rd room...
